Our favorite place to ride - Just 1.5 hrs north is Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, VA. The Swift Creek trails are so much fun - everything from blue rated "just plain fun" trails to black diamond trails (there are bypasses/walk arounds to each advanced skill section). This is a trail system to put on your list! Arrive early as parking fills fast - weekends are $10 to park. Basic directions to the park: I95 North beyond Petersburg, Head out Rt288, exit Courthouse Road. Park is on your right.
