Maxxis Minion DHF Tire - 29 x 2.5, Tubeless, Folding, Black, 3C Maxx Terra, EXO, Wide Trail
With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it's hard to find fault with the Maxxis Minion DHF. That's probably why it's one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking.
Whether riding local trails, a backcountry epic, racing enduro or World Cup downhill, there's a Minion DHF spec to meet your needs. The Minion DHF has become the benchmark for riders wanting maximum control in loose and muddy conditions. The Minion DHF is available in trail, enduro, and downhill specs.

An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected. EXO protection is great for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high. 3C Max Terra -
Maxxis 3C Triple Compound mountain technology uses a harder, longer lasting base layer and two progressively softer top layers in order to optimize traction and stability. Maxxis offers three different configurations of our 3C Triple Compound mountain technology: MaxxSpeed, MaxxTerra and MaxxGrip.
MaxTerra is an intermediate compound configuration - it's softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tire’s tread layout and profile on wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider’s preference.
